It has been confirmed that all automotive workshops in England, responsible for vehicle MOT’s, maintenance and repairs can remain open during the 2nd National lock down from the 5th November to 2nd December. All vehicles need to have a valid MOT and be roadworthy when in use, therefore, those working in the automotive repair sector, including the parts suppliers and distributors who play a vital role in the supply chain are exempt from any enforced closures.

Distribution needs to continue to support workshop activities, therefore we would like to thank all motor factors and workshops that remain open during this lock down and to assure them that we are following Government guidelines to ensure that our business stays operational, our staff stay safe, and we maintain our high levels of service to our global customer base.

To help ensure MOT testing can be conducted safely during coronavirus, you can read the DVSA guidance for MOT testers here: www.gov.uk/guidance/coronavirus-mot-centre-and-tester-guidance
